Gran Turismo for PSP

The venerable Gran Turismo series of games have been around since the original Playstation console's heyday in the mid-90's, and now it's available on PSP!

This release has caused some complaints. Many GT purists were expecting a fully-fledged GT game like the console versions, which kind of misses the point... this is Gran Turismo on a hand-held!!! So first things first, if you're looking for 'GT mode' (career), you won't find it - this game is meant for quick racing and car-customization/trading.

The first vehicle we got behind was a Golf, which we soon upgraded to a Skyline with racing features - why was this? The racing! GTonPSP still has all the familiar driving physics that sets the GT series apart from the rest of the driving simulator pack, and looks as good as if it was playing on a PS2 (even at 480x272) thanks to it's 60fps gameplay (translation: smoooooth).

There's 35 tracks to race, with 60 variations in total. There's also 800 models of cars to choose from, and you can trade cars and race with other PSP owners via Wireless. It's also compatible with Gran Turismo 5, so your cars can be transferred to that game (if you're lucky enough to get it). All in all, Gran Turismo is yet another great game on a great console!
