| LocoRoco 2 is by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and was released exclusively for the PSP. You play initially as a little yellow blob called Kulche, a LocoRoco who has to save the LocoRoco planet from the Moja boss, Bonmucho, and his army! |
|
As you progress you can swap to other LocoRoco characters. The Moja boss Bonmucho and his army have a terrible song that sucks the life force out of living things. It's the LocoRoco's job to chase them all down and clear the planet while eating special berries that make him bigger. Like the original LocoRoco game, the player controls are the same - the L and R buttons are for tilting the world left or right, and pressing both at the same time will make your LocoRoco jump.
Clicking the circle button separates the LocoRoco into as many little LocoRocos as berries you have eaten in that level. Pressing the circle button down joins the LocoRoco back together again - you'll need to do this in order to get through tight spaces. LocoRoco also needs to rescue the MuiMuis so they can build things that open up mini-games.

There are 25 levels to play, and several mini-games to unlock - these include the BuiBui Fort, the MuiMui House, Franzea Flower Garden, Perculoka Mountain, Shamplin Mountain, Tropuca Island, Chapo-Wahr Starland, Dolangomeri Spookyland, CaloCaro Sunnyland, Jaojab Jungle, the Yamboona Tree and Kelapton Fungus Forest.
One of the highlights of LocoRoco 2 (like it's predecessor) is the Music and Singing, everyone sings in LocoRoco 2 - different characters have different songs, and they all affect the background music in each level depending on what your LocRoco is doing or has just done. There are even challenges that require you to tap the controller in time with the music! There isn't another game like it, and we think it's an almost perfect PSP game :)
