Netball enjoys a proud heritage and widespread support from all New Zealanders. It is the number one team sport for women and is played widely by women of all ages and by a growing number of boys and men.
There are over 120,000 registered members and a further 80,000 playing in social competitions for over 1000 clubs in 94 Centres nationwide. Netball is the largest participation sport in Secondary schools and is still growing.

2007 National Bank Cup
Throughout the 10 year history of the competition it has grown more popular every year.
This year was no exception with exciting games keeping fans on the edge of their seats waiting to see where their chosen team would come.
This years theme was Take Sides and competition was hotter than ever. |

Congratulations to Southern Sting on winning The National Bank Cup 2007 in a very closely contested final
at Auckland’s North Shore Events Centre on Friday 22 June.

- Goldair Flames, representing Canterbury and Tasman regions.
- Otago Rebels, representing Otago.
- Ascot Park Hotel Southern Sting, representing Southland.
