WipEout, the fast-paced, futuristic hover car racing game series is on the track again with WipEout Pulse on PSP. It's much like WipEout Pure, but with more content and even better handling to have fun with.

While you have weapons, you can also get items like shields to protect you, or speed boosts.

The game tries really hard to keep “constant movement” when playing by slightly 'magnetizing' you to the track through turns, loop-de-loops and sharp corners, which's great and looks really cool. But when you tap a wall your speed decreases immensely (this happened a lot to me until I got the hang of using the triggers to help turn), which didn't seem so severe in WipEout Pure.

But then your mind is taken off that because of the weapons. There are quite a few of them, including missiles and mines, or my favorite: the Quake. It sends a tremor down the track that is unavoidable and pretty much stops everyone it hits. And looks wicked.
