Parachute Festival, held at Hamilton’s Mystery Creek, is the Southern Hemisphere’s largest Christian music festival. Taking place from the 25-28th January, Parachute 08 is expecting to play host to approximately 30,000 music fans this summer.

Boasting 170 bands over 4 days, with international heavyweights Switchfoot headlining, 2008 is shaping up to be Parachute’s biggest year yet.

WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT ?

Parachute is a Music Festival held over 4 days with something for the whole family.

It's been an annual event since 1987 and has become a platform for international and local artists and speakers. Each day concludes with the crowd converging at the mainstage for an action-packed evening show.

WHAT CAN I DO THERE?

As well as 9 stages of non-stop music of every genre you’ll get the chance to escape from your parents (and them from you) with programs for pre-teens and kids;

KIDS

* Parachute Kids for 5-10 year olds.
* 8:30am – 12pm Saturday and Sunday, with light artists programmes from 1pm-3pm.

PRE-TEENS

* For 11-13 year olds.
* 9am-4pm Saturday and Sunday.
* Guest appearances from Festival artists and action-packed activities.

PLEASE NOTE - You have to Pre-register for these programes online prior to the Festival.

FAMILY FRIENDLY - There is an enforced alcohol and drug-free policy at all times during the Festival, and if you are tenting, there is a special family tenting area provided with a noise restriction from 11pm.
